Para Transit Drivers
We are looking for a Driver to transport SSTA clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include driving a 27′ lift-equipped van, providing reliable door-to-door transportation service to those in need, and arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients who depend on us for their transportation needs are delivered best-in-class service!. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record with no traffic violations, and a desire to contribute to your community!. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles.
Responsibilities
Ensure vehicle is safe and clean each shift
Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
Assist clients with loading and unloading
Communicate with dispatch regarding circumstances of the day
Provide a smiling face for SSTA’s outstanding clients!
Ensure safety practices are adhered to at all times
Properly respond to emergency situations when they arise
Skills
Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time available
Salary: From $22.00 per hour

Customer Service Rep
SSTA is hiring for a Customer Service Representative (CSR)! Our CSR's are responsible for being the initial contact person for the organization and meets and greets clients and visitors on the phone and face to face.
Some duties/responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Explain transportation process to clients, assist with referrals to appropriate agencies.
Sets up new client intakes. Accurately schedules, verifies, and authorizes medical and non-medical rides using SSTA's software.
Ensure clients are eligible for transportation and account information is accurate for billing.
Schedules and coordinates out of area rides for clients with volunteer drivers.
Make out of town transportation and lodging arrangements as needed and work closely with physicians' offices and Medicaid for referrals and approval.
Assist with customer issues, and works with team and supervisor to determine solutions.
Organized, manage, and process invoices, manifests and related paperwork with a high level of accuracy.
An ideal candidate would have great skills in computers/programs, spreadsheets, communication, time management, working with a team, and understanding both oral and written instructions. If any of this information interests you or you sound like our ideal candidate then we encourage you to apply!
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience is required (experience does not need to be within transportation).
A valid driver's license is required.
The ability to pass a thorough background check to work with vulnerable population is required. SSTA pulls these reports upon hire and annually.
